The Palladium Insurance Contest
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
Open to residents of Ontario ONLY
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: The Palladium Insurance Contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Palladium Insurance (“the Sponsor”). The Contest starts at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) on September 01, 2010 and closes at 11:59:59 PM (ET) on March 22, 2011 (the “Contest Period”). All times are Eastern Times.
- 1. ELIGIBILITY: To enter the Contest and be eligible to win a prize, a person must be a legal resident of Ontario, who has reached the age of majority at time of entry and who is not an employee, officer or director of the Sponsor, its affiliated companies or agents, their respective advertising or promotional agencies, the independent contest organization or a member of any such employee’s, officer’s or director’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or persons with whom they are domiciled (whether related to the employee, officer or director or not). In these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partner and/or spouse.
- 2. HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST: During the Contest Period, visit www.palladiuminsurance.ca (the “Contest Website”) and click on the “Request a Quote” icon to complete a No Obligation Quote (“Quote Request”) for life, auto and/or home insurance. Complete the form (the “Entry Form”) with your full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code) and a valid email address. Upon doing so, click the “Contact Broker” icon and by doing so, your Quote Request will be sent to the Sponsor and an email with be sent to you with directions on how to complete your entry into the Contest. Next, respond to the email found in your inbox by a) confirming your contact details b) confirming that you have read the rules and regulations and c) whether you would like to be contacted by a Broker of the Sponsor. Upon doing so, click “Send” and you will be entered once into the Contest. You may only use one (1) email address to Request a Quote and to enter the Contest. Entries must be received on or before 11:59:59 PM (ET) on March 22, 2011 (the “Contest Closing Date”). There are no limits to the number of Quotes that you request, however there is a limit of one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period. If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than the number of times permitted, all your entries will be void. Limit of one (1) Weekly Prize per person.
- 3. PRIZES: There will be a total of forty-three (43) Weekly Prizes available to be won, each consisting of two (2) tickets as selected by the Sponsor to a 2010/2011 Ottawa Senators regular season home game (the “Game”) at the Scotiabank Place, 1000 Palladium Drive Ottawa, Ontario K2V 1A5 (seating locations as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion). The approximate retail value of each Prize is $200.00 (CDN). Transportation to the Game is not included in any Weekly Prize and will be the responsibility of each winner and his/her guest. Weekly Prizes must be accepted as awarded, without substitution and is not transferable and has no cash surrender value. The Sponsor reserves the right in the event that a Weekly Prize or any component of a Weekly Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute a Prize or component of a Prize of equal or greater value without liability. NO RESPONSIBILITY IS ASSUMED BY THE SPONSOR OR THE INDEPENDENT CONTEST ORGANIZATION FOR CANCELLED, DELAYED, SUSPENDED OR RESHEDULED GAMES FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER AND NEW TICKETS WILL NOT BE ISSUED.

- 5. WEEKLY PRIZE DRAWS: A random draw will take place the Thursday following the relevant Weekly Contest Period from all eligible entries received during the relevant Weekly Contest Period in Oakville, ON at approximately 10:00 AM (ET). For example: the Draw for Week 1 Contest Period will take place on Thursday September 09, 2010. If a Draw Date falls on a statutory holiday, the applicable Draw will take place the following business day. Weekly Contest Period draw dates are as follows: September 09, 2010 for week 1, September 16, 2010 for week 2, September 23, 2010 for week 3, September 30, 2010 for week 4, October 07, 2010 for week 5, October 14, 2010 for week 6, October 21, 2010 for week 7, October 28, 2010 for week 8, November 4 for week 9, November 11, 2010 for week 10, November 18, 2010 for week 11, November 25, 2010 for week 12, December 02, 2010 for week 13, December 09, 2010 for week 14, December 16, 2010 for week 15, December 23, 2010 for week 16, December 30, 2010 for week 17, January 06, 2011 for week 18, January 13, 2011 for week 19, January 20, 2011 for week 20, January 27, 2011 for week 21, February 03, 2011 for week 22, February 10, 2011 for week 23, February 17, 2011 for week 24, February 24, 2011 for week 25, March 03, 2011 for week 26, March 10, 2011 for week 27, March 17, 2011 for week 28 and March 24, 2011 for week 29. PLEASE NOTE: Non-winning entries will be carried over into the following week’s draw. The odds of winning a Weekly Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received up to the end date of the applicable Weekly Contest Period. Each selected entrant will be contacted by mail or telephone within two (2) business days of the applicable Draw Date. If a selected entrant (a) cannot be reached by mail or telephone within two (2) business days of the applicable Draw Date; (b) fails to correctly answer the skill testing question (see rule 7); or (c) fails to return the properly executed Release Form within the specified time (see rule 7), then he/she will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly selected until such time as contact is made by mail or telephone with a selected entrant or there are no more eligible entries, whichever comes first. The Sponsor will not be responsible for failed attempts to contact a selected entrant.
- 6. GENERAL: By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by these official rules and the decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the Contest, which decisions are final.
- 7. To be declared a Weekly Prize Winner, each selected entrant must answer correctly, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a mathematical skill-testing question posed by mail or telephone. Each selected entrant will also be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form (the “Release Form”) confirming compliance with the official rules, acceptance of the Weekly Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsor, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization, Capital Sports Properties Inc. (Scotiabank Place), Capital Sports Entertainment Inc. (the Ottawa Senators), the National Hockey League (“NHL”), the NHL Member Clubs, NHL Enterprises, L.P., NHL Enterprises Canada, L.P., the NHLPA and current and former players, and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability in connection with the Weekly Prize or the Contest. The Release Form must be returned within the time period specified on the Release Form or the Weekly Prize will be forfeited. Weekly Prizes will be couriered by the Sponsor to each confirmed winner upon receipt of his/her Release Form to the address provided at time of entry.
- 8. The Sponsor and its agencies accept no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest or a Prize and are not responsible for lost tickets. By entering and accepting a Prize, each winner consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province/territory) and/or photograph without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor with respect to the Contest.
- 9. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete or destroyed entries, all such entries are void. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization will not be liable for any failure of the Contest Website, do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof or any e-mail message or other communication sent or received during the Contest Period, for any reason. Entry material/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. The use of an invalid email address will disqualify the entry. Users spamming the same email address will disqualify the entry.
10. In the event of a dispute, entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder (defined below) of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the person who is: (a) assigned an email address by an internet provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address with the selected entry. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the email address. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this Contest will be the contest server machine(s). In the event it is determined that an entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these rules and/or has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant will be disqualified and all of the entries submitted by the entrant will be disqualified.
11. The Sponsor reserves the right, to terminate or amend this Contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the Contest and conduct weekly draws from all previously received eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. The Sponsor and the independent contest organization shall not be held responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the Contest, including, but not limited to, any damage to an entrant’s mobile phone, computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of the entrant’s participation in this Contest.
12. All entries become the permanent property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into, except with the selected entrants. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
The Sponsor respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by the Sponsor to administer the Contest and fulfill any prize requirements and, only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide the entrants with information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from the Sponsor.
